hi. why Reader 11 is not available for Vista??

Support is still there for 10.x and 9.x versions on vista. For 11, you will have to upgrade from Vista to Win 7 or Win 8.

=> on the same machine, vista.

I have Do not download updates,

then I changed it. UAC > allow.

now:

"automatically install updates"

ok.

clic on "?"  then check for updates.

"no updates available"

in the past all went fine.

in the task manager i Have only acrotray.exe

vista32 sp2, uac on, administrator.

I send you the log. thanks a lot!

also 14th august I did the same tasks (9 + 10x) without problems.

on the site get adobe I see only reader 10.1.0.

If you have more than one Adobe Reader on the same system, it is not supported and I will not be able to provide any more help.

Please double check that these are 2 Adobe Readers and not for example Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat.

If they are 2 different products, please check the current version using Help\About... menu.

Reader italian 10.1.4

+

Acrobat (non Reader simply!) english 9.5.2.

also 2 different products.

for years all was ok. today no idea what happens

both "No updates found".

I got the log and here is what it tells me -

Your Acrobat is not installed correctly, Updater cannot find version information.

Try to run Repair using Control Panel or select Help\Repair from the Acrobat menu. Restart the system (if required) post Repair.

After that you can select Help\Check for Updates from Acrobat menu.

Reader is not getting updated in full auto mode because Updater has 3 days waiting period from the last successfull check for updates.

You can simply selct Help\Check for updates from Reader application menu if you want to update today, which I would recommend.

If I clic Help\Check for updates from Reader

as you are suggesting I go "No updates available".

thus for reader 10.1.4.

for acrobat 9:

can I install the patch directly from here?

but I dont understand why acrobat was corrupted...from 2008 until august 2012, no problems with autoupdate on both applications.

If I were able to find the "same" link as above, but for Reader too, then I am fine , I guess.

but the reader is 10.1.0 on the site, since a lot of months.

I sent you private e-mail with instructions (for Reader)

10.1.0 is the the latest "full Reader" update.

After that there have been Patches only - (msp files)

It simple doesn't makes sense ... if it supports XP and 7 it must definately support Vista....

It also supports Server 2008, so why no Vista

It isn't about whether it works, it's about whether Adobe support it, and to do that they need to spend time testing. Vista is dead, they didn't bother.
