Reading aloud does not work

Reading aloud does not work, and for several months it did not work and even got to restore the system and even so it works, I tried to turn up the volume and be sure that I was not quiet but neither. Someone else happens?

I cannot get the read out loud feature to work, it used to work fine. No box comes up around the text anymore, I am still able to highlight freely. None of the fixes you provided solve my issue. I am running windows 10, adobe reader DC (latest version at time of posting).

Any ideas? I'm really desperate for this to work. I loved it.... lol

Could you please try reading another pdf file and check if the function works.

Are you able to hear sounds from other applications?
