Restricting Fill-in Forms saving options

New Here ,
Mar 08, 2019 Mar 08, 2019

I have converted many of our forms to fill-in. I want our users to be able to save a completed form under a name of their choosing but prevent them from saving the original form with the information they entered - like the original is a template that can't be modified.

Thanks!

Protect the file from writing, and the directory it is in, using normal system or network security. This isn't an Acrobat thing.

So doing this would force users to copy the file to another location in order to use it and save it?

They can use it fine, with no change. But if you protect the file they won’t be able to save over it, as they will find if they try.
