Saving converted document

After converting document to Word when I click 'save as' I immediately get 'Acrobat has stopped working' and programme closes down.

How can I solve this

    Click 'Export' and it shows doc to be converted to Word then click 'Convert' then when complete shows doc title and 'save as' so click on 'save as'  but immediately get 'Adobe Reader not working'

    Reader can't convert PDF files to Word, so how are you doing it, exactly?
