Saving PDF files to MacBook

Does anyone have tips on how to save a PDF file from Adobe Reader, using a MacBook?  Every time I try to save something, I get an error message saying that only a blank copy can be saved.  I'm needing to do this for work and just cannot figure it out.

I think this may be solved if you install the current version of Acrobat Reader, if it will run on your Mac OS. Some forms used to need special software to save, and some of these are now unlocked.

Use Reader > About Adobe Reader and tell us the exact version shown.

Thanks again for your help.  How do I enable the PDF form?  This happens every time someone sends me a PDF file.  Thanks so much!
