Saving PDFs using PDF Reader without losing TAGS

I recently spent hours tagging all of my PDFs but now when I mark up a document and save it, the TAGS are not visible and I have to reenter each tag, otherwise they will be deleted.

Here's my question: How can I save a PDF using the PDF Reader without having to reenter TAGS each time?

Unfortunately, since PDF Reader is a free application, the only support they offer is this community forum.  According to their website, the only support they provide is for paying customers.

I am using the Adobe PDF reader.

Adobe Acrobat Reader can't add tags.
