Scrolling is slow with Find dialog open (bug)

There has been a graphics-related bug in Adobe reader's Find "panel" on OSX for more that a year now that I keep hoping will get fixed and never does. It's a major annoyance and something that must be a fairly trivial and low-risk patch. The short of it is that scrolling is painfully slow while the Find panel is open and perfectly smooth when it is closed. The specific behavior is that the find text field jumps all over the screen while scrolling which is surly what is causing the defect. I think Adobe is trying to do something cute with the core text UI and it isn't working very well. If they just switch to a native UI for Find on OSX the problem would go away.

I'm dismayed that Adobe doesn't provide any way for me to file a bug for Acrobat Reader. Does anybody know how to get ahold of Adobe so I can describe the bug and request a fix?

More than a year later: still a bug. Is Reader a dead product? Has Adobe abandoned it?
