adobe has decided to update itself on our terminal servers and we are now running version 19.2048 and since this update sharing via mail is a lot harder. The employee must first click on the envelope, then select send it on the right as an attachment and then continue on.
All in all much more cumbersome than before. Who knows how we can share a file faster via e-mail? I have already searched a bit on the internet but do not see anyone with this problem yet.
in addition, I see under file is the 'file sharing' grayed out, does anyone know how I get active again?

Hi,
Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
We understand that you are facing issues and are looking into getting it fixed soon.
Regarding the file sharing greyed out option, we needed more info to fix this from our end:
Is the issue always reproducible for you?
The option is usually greyed out when Share is open in the RHP. Is this the case for you?
Also when the option is greyed out, are the Share and then envelope icons greyed out as well or is it just the one option?
Thanks,
Pallavi.

Hello Pallavi,
the sharing is indeed only grayed out when it is already open on the right.
But apparently, if you click on it you get an extra window on the right of your file, but this works cumbersome and not at all as easy as in the previous version of Adobe.
We just want a button with which we can immediately send the file and not that we first have to make 3 extra steps.
Kind regard,

I have the same issue affecting many clients. Clicking the Email icon was a simple 1 click process.
Click Email icon
Outlook (or selected default mail app) opens a new mail.
Enter address - Send.
SIMPLE
On new version:
Click Email icon
Share pane loading circle spins and opens Share pane
Email icon now greyed out confusing non IT literate users.
Click Send as Attachment drop down arrow to open selection
Click Default mail application if not already selected
Click Continue
Outlook (or selected default mail app) opens a new mail.
Enter address - Send.
For heaven's sake - Adobe developers need to wake up and ask the users how they use the app.
Keep it simple - One click + address + send vs FOUR clicks + address + send.
The solution does not require "looking into". Revert to previous process - SIMPLE.

Hi All,
If you use Send documents as attachment frequently for your work, you can change the behavior of the Email icon to one-click Attach to email experience using the registry/plist file mentioned in the following Adobe's helpx article.

I've just created a free tool that brings back the command to send the file with a single click...
You can find it here: Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat / Reader 2019 - Quick File Send Button (FREE)
