We have encountered this on several versions of Adobe Reader 32 bit over the past several years, but it seems to have gotten worse recently.
It is not an error that can be reproduced, is random and has no clear patterns. On occasion, when a user goes to Sign a file, clicking the 'Sign' button will make it change color as if it had been signed, but then nothing happens.
Our application is deployed via Citrix and the only way to resolve the issue is to restart the user's Citrix session, establishing a new connection to the Citrix image.
I have tried the steps at https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/clicking-the-sign-button-does-not-do-anything/td-... but they did not work.
I found another help article that said to try going to Edit > Preferences > Signatures > Creation & Appearance then disable 'Use modern user interface for signing and Digital ID configuration'. Once I disabled this and tried signing, Reader threw an error (see attached) that stated "The Windows Cryptographic Service Provider reported an error: The profile for the user is a temporary profile. Error Code: 2148073508". I tried signing again on a new Citrix session and it worked normally.
Was curious if anyone has ever ran into this issue and find a solution that actually works. This happens regardless of application version.
