I have a document with multiple Entrust digital signatures. When the next person to sign opens the document, one of the existing signatures has an issue. This person does not have an option to sign the document. When I open the document, it does not show an issue with the existing signature. What is going on?

Do you both open the document using the same (most up to date) version of the same PDF viewer (Adobe Acrobat, I assume) as the next person to sign?
And which issue does that one existing signature have?

No, he is opening on his own. There is a triangle with an exclamation point and it says "at least one signature has problems".

It says signature validity is unknown. Signature is valid, but revocation fo the signer's identity could not be checked.

The servers of the certificate authority that issued the certificate of the signer of the signature in question, could it be that those servers are not reachable from that next person's computer? E.g. the CA servers might be in the intranet of your organization unit while the next person cannot access that intranet.
A certificate is only valid as long as the current time is in its validity span and as long as it hasn't been revoked. The validity time span always is contained in the certificate but revocation information (if not embedded in the document) has to be retrievedfrom the servers of the CA. And it looks like this retrieval is not possible for the next person in respect to the signer certificate in question.

Does this happen for arbitrary PDFs signed by those Entrust identities or only very specific PDFs? Does this happen also for different sets of Entrust signers?
If possible, please share a PDF in the state that the next person cannot sign it any further.
