Signing documents?

New Here ,

HI there. I have been sent an e-mail with a letter that I have to "sign" via Adobe reader. My current version of Adobe wasn't able to downloaded the letter, but I have now updated it and I still can't access the document? I'm sure this is a simple issue, but I'm under a bit of time pressure and I can't crack it! Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Ok. First, you wouldn't use Reader (or shouldn't anyway) to "download" the pdf file from your email. You should simply have an option in your email, whatever you use, to download the attachment without opening it. Do that first then open Reader and navigate to the file to open it.

Just one more thing - I have completed the form - but now I can't save it! Any suggestions?

Adobe Reader cannot save fillable forms unless they have been specially enabled by someone using the full version of Acrobat.

Thanks for this. Is there a way of finding out whether they have been specifically enabled?

Generally, you will get a notification at the top of the window in Reader letting you know you can save.
