Is there a smoother way to draw on a PDF-document in Adobe Reader then using 'Comment'?

As per the information shared above, I believe you are working on Adobe Reader DC (free application)? If yes, then Editting pdf document would not be possible with the free application Adobe Reader DC. This can be done with "Edit Tool" and

Edit Tool is only available with the subscription based service Adobe Acrobat DC.

There is a work around to get this done with Adobe Reader, you can refer to- insert an image in a pdf file on acrobat reader dc
