Strikethrough and highlights disappear on PDF after a few seconds

I have a problem where after I strikethrough or highlight something in my pdfs, the actual highlight/strikethrough disappears from the pdf. If you mouse over the edit though, you can see the comment I left but I just can't physically see the strikethrough or highlight. I can see everything fine in browser mode, but in windows and mac, I can't see them. You can see below that there's a comment and very thin highlight above the words but the whole thing isn't highlighted.

I made a strikethrough for "Author, year" but now I don't see the strikethrough at all even though when I mouse over it I can see my comment.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

What is the workflow/steps you did to highlight and strike through the PDF? A small video recording of the same would be very helpful.

What is the version of the OS and the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.02.20759 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://adobe.ly/3R1eSP0

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.
