Hi Rockyg

We are sorry for the trouble. As described, get a sync log desktop icon after installing Acrobat Reader DC

We need some more information for a better understanding:

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs that you try to open? Please try to open a different PDF file and check

What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader you have installed? To check the version go to Help > About Adobe Acrobat Reader DC?
Make sure you have the latest version 20.009.

Make sure you have the latest version 20.009.20063 installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates.

What is the error message you get? Please share the screenshot of the error message and the sync log desktop icon for a better understanding.

Please try to repair the installation (For Windows only) Go to Help > Repair Installation and see if that works.

You may also try to turn off the protected mode for testing purposes, go to Edit  (Windows),  Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (Mac) >  Preferences > Enhanced Security  > Turn off the protected Mode and uncheck the Enhanced Security
Note: Please turn on the security after testing.

If it still doesn't work, please create a new test user profile in Windows with full admin rights or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have the latest version and did the repair. After opening a few files, so far so good. No icon has appeared. Should it show up again after more normal use, I will return with the exact error message info about being unable to open the sync file.

The icon showed up on bootup. Nothing was opened to trigger it.

Now what should I do to stop it from occuring on bootup every morning besides just ingoring it? Thx
