I was referred to a Tech company by the Adobe team because they said my computer had problems and that was why I was having difficulty with my Acrobat Reader.

The Tech Company is called TeqRoot. . .does anyone know anything about this company and why Adobe recommends them? Their website is not functional.

Are you sure it was Adobe you spoke with? How did you contact them?

Somehow. . .I don't know how because i can't recreate it, I got a number for Adobe Tech help. . .they talked to me, and actually took over my computer to try to help me. They discovered a Trojan worm, and referred me to TeqRoot to remove it, telling me that Apple would not be able to do this and would refer me out to a similar Tech company. But I did start with a legitimate Adobe Tech number.

99% sure You have been scammed I am afraid. If you do a web search for tech support you will get people who pretend to be. Now you have given them access to your computer, then may have installed malware. Did you give a credit card number? you probably now need to have an expert check over your computer to find what they did to it.

I can be pretty sure it wasn't Adobe because Adobe do not give tech support for their free products AT ALL.

Tech Support

I did get to the Adobe phone number through the website, and the tech person was actually surprised that I had gotten the phone number. I was on a chat with Adobe and it was there that the Adobe person gave me the phone number to call for TeqRoot.
