I have a template from a government website. My co-worker is able to type in the fields without any issue. However, when I use the same template it cuts off the bottom part of the text or has the font go vertically instead of typed in horizontally. I'm using OSX 10.11.6.
also, i tried downloading acrobat pro 9 and it won't open.

Hello Suen,
We are so sorry to hear this, as per the description above when you type in the fields of the PDF form, it is cutting the bottom part of the text or has the font shows as vertical instead of horizontal, Is that correct?
Are you trying to fill the form on a browser? If yes, please download the form and open it with Acrobat Pro DC and try filling the form.
Make sure that you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine, check for any pending updates of Acrobat from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after updating the Acrobat.
Make sure you are not filling the PDF form in Preview. Open the Form in Acrobat Pro and try filling the form fields.
Try using a different Font style and Font size and check. Also, check the Text Field Properties box. under the Options Tab, if the "Multi-Line" box is on.
Have you tried with any other PDF form or this issue is with a specific PDF form? If it is specific to one PDF, Is it possible to share the PDF file with us so that we can test it at our end? To share the PDF file, please use Adobe Send feature, upload the file, share the link to files via private message only, How Do I Send Private Message
Also, if possible, please share the screenshot of the Text Field Properties "Options" box. To share a screenshot, please refer to https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-7043#jive_content_id_How_do_I_attach_a_screenshot
let us know how it goes and share your findings.
