Hi, I have some pdf documents that I cannot print. If I open them with Edge I can easily print them, while with Acrobat Reader I have problems. I also tried on other PCs with other versions of Acrobat and the problem is the same. Can you tell me how to solve? Thank you

Hi Roberto,

Hope you're doing well and sorry to hear that.

Would you mind elaborating a bit more about the issue you are experiencing while printing with Acrobat Reader? What happens when you try to print the PDF do you get any error messages? If yes,  please share the screenshot of the same for a better understanding.

What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat reader you are using? to check the version go to help > about Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 22.1.20085 installed.  Go to help > check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also, check for any pending or missing updates for the printer driver and firmware and try updating them and check.

Web browsers use their own PDF mechanism to render and display PDF files and they are not Adobe dependent.

Also please go through the help article https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-pdf-printing-acrobat-reader.html  and see if that works for you.

Regards
Amal

Good morning, i have same problems.

My pc is iMac late 2015, with mac osx 12.2.1

I am attaching the screenshots attesting to the problems. Also I reinstalled all printer drivers (Canon I-sensys and Xerox Phaser 6600), with the call to Apple support. As you can see from the attachments, after the message "unable to print the document", another message comes out that says "no print page selected".

The Acrobat reader update is the latest available. I await your news.
Thank you

Hi, in attachment you can find the screen shots of the errors and the Acrobat version. The files I am trying to print are digitally signed and if I open them through the browser (Edge, Chrome) the problem does not occur. The problem only occurs with Acrobat Reader

Hi there,

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs that you try to print? please try with a different PDF file and check.

if you have got the file from a different user please try to re-download the file to your computer and try printing it again, also make sure the printer driver and the firmware it's up to date.

you may also remove the printer and firmware reboot the computer and reinstall the printer driver and firmware from the manufacturers' website.

Hello Roberto,

The issue here, could be due to the incorrect/faulty printer driver installation on the system; which sometimes may work on a few applications and blocks other.

Can we try to remove the printer driver from the system, and re-install/add the same back and then check for the same workflow.

If the issue does not gets resolved with the same workaround, please can you provide a few more details regarding the issue -

  1.  Has the issue recently surfaced? or the same was broken from some time?
  2.  Your system OS details (like Windows version, and is it a hardware device or virtual device)
  3.  Will it be possible to share any of such digitally signed file with us? could be due to some signature issue(s) with the files
  4. Also can you give details of the printer been used, driver name and details

Thanks

Regads,

Swapnil Srivastava
