I receive the following error after opening 2-4 pdfs in a row.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, as per the description above, you are getting an error message with Adobe Reader while opening a PDF file, Is that correct?

Please install the latest patch/update of Adobe Reader from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after updating the Adobe Reader. The latest update available is 2018.011.20040

You can also download and install the latest patch from the Adobe URL manually DC Release Notes — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products

Try repairing the installation files of Adobe Reader from help>repair installation(only for Windows), reboot the machine after repairing Adobe Reader.

If the issue still persists, please use Acrobat cleaner tool to remove Acrobat from the machine Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Reboot the machine and install Adobe Reader from Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution
