Tips for catching inconsistencies

I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice on catching design inconsistencies in large PDF documents. For example, let's say I'm reviewing a 50 page PDF document that has 20 introduction sections that are supposed to be formatted identically. Other than printing out the entire document to see all of those sections side by side, or scrolling back and forth to compare each section with each other, is there a better method to do this? The text isn't necessarily identical, so I'm not able to flag the same word/words throughout the document.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

As mentioned, you can open multiple files side-by-side. What's missing in Reader, though, is the ability to scroll all of the files at the same time, and by the same amount. However, you can do that using a script, like this (paid-for) one I've created: https://www.try67.com/tool/acrobat-reader-synchronized-scrolling-two-or-more-pdf-documents

1. Reader DC can open different document in multiple windows side by side.

2. For gross layout the pages view can help.
