I'm using Acrobat Reader DC on a mac, and I'm having issues with double-clicking highlighted portions of PDF texts to comment on them.
Specifically, I CAN double-click highlights if they are single words, single lines, or chunks of 3 or more lines (i.e., I move my cursor over the highlighted area and it turns into an arrow, allowing me to double click on the area to comment).
However, I CANNOT double-click highlights that span two lines in which the highlighted portion of the first line does not overlap with the highlighted portion of the second line (hard to explain; imagine a case in which you highlighted the last word of a line, then scrolled down and highlighted the first word of the second line). In this case, the cursor does not turn into an error when I move it over the highlighted portion if I have the highlighter selected. To comment on the highlight, I either have to select the selection tool (the arrow shape) and double click the highlighted area or click on the "highlighted text" in the comment section that shows up on the right. This is very inefficient and I would like to know if this is a glitch or if I am doing something wrong.
