Trying unsuccessfully to download free Acrobat Reader

Hello, I have been trying for about a week to download the free version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. I have a brand new desktop computer with Windows 11. It meets the system requirements for the download. I open the Reader_en_install from my downloads and double click on it. It starts downloading but once it gets to about 80 or 90% downloaded, it stops and says there is an error. This has happened at least a dozen times. It doesn't say what type of error. I shut down my computer and turn it back on. I restart it. I have gone to the troubleshooting pages and tried the suggestions, including trying to download with different browsers, but nothing works. I'm not sure what is going on. It should be easy. Does anyone else have this issue? Can anyone out there help?

@kirbie_0940 by any chance do you have an anti-virus software blocking this? https://get.adobe.com/ca/reader/otherversions

I am experiencing the same thing with Windows 11. The PDF installer was downloading and the bar reaches about 50% and it says "installing" and that's where it stops every time. And it's driving me crazy!!! I tried the methods on their help page and nothing works.

However, as I was replying to your post, I had to log in using my google account to reply. And something magic happens! Something pops up saying Adobe was installed on the Google Chrome and as I clicked confirm the previously closed downloader pops up as well saying it's installed successfully! Therefore I assume this is connected to me logging into Adobe with Google account on Chrome. But personally I believe it's weird...

Never had this problem before!
