Turn off Page Thumbnails in Adobe Acrobat Reader

Sometimes when opening a PDF document from an email the Page Thumbnails panel will be open with the previews. I do not want this to occur when opening a document. I have version 2022.003.20314 if that is helpful.

This has been driving me crazy for quite a while now in the full version of Acrobat and I just found a solution. Don’t know if it works in all versions of Acrobat including Reader or not, but I was able to right-click on the Thumbnail icon on the left toolbar and select Reset Panes. This closed the Navigation Pane and it stayed closed even after quitting Acrobat and opening up a different PDF. Your mileage may vary…

Hi @doloresb59055083,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader.

Have you tried checking the preferences and saving them for every launch of Acrobat REader? If not, please try the steps from here: Viewing PDFs and viewing preferences, Adobe Acrobat

Hope this helps.
