I'm trying to load Adobe Acrobat Reader on Windows 11 Enterprise 23H2.
I double click the install.
I say yes to Win 11, yes I want to install Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Adobe Acrobat Reader install window opens.
I get an orange triangle exclamation point warning that says "Application initialization error" with no other clues.
Any recommendations for what to try?

Hello Rick!
I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.
Please reboot the machine, and Clear Previous Install Traces. Use the Acrobat Cleaner tool to remove remnants of failed installs: Download: Acrobat Cleaner Tool. Run the tool, then restart your PC and try installing again from the direct download link. Ensure the operating system is up to date, as missing updates can cause compatibility issues. Right-click the installer and choose “Run as administrator” to avoid permission-related issues.
Disable Antivirus/Firewall Temporarily, and ensure the installer isn’t running in compatibility mode: Right-click the installer > Properties > Compatibility tab. Uncheck “Run this program in compatibility mode” if selected.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.
