Question

Unable to print a PDF document while previewing in a web browser.

I have tried all the typical troubleshooting steps. I have checked that I have the latest version of Adobe Reader DC. I have checked that I have the latest driver for HP OfficeJet 5200 Series. I have even installed the latest firmware update for the printer. The problem still exists. If you click on a PDF document in a web browser (IE, Edge, or Chrome) and the document is displayed in the browser, and the Adobe toolbar is displayed when you move your mouse to the bottom of the window, you should be able to click the Print button on the toolbar to print the document. However, it does nothing. But if I save the document to my computer and then open it in Adobe Reader DC, it prints just fine. When I search, I see many troubleshooting steps on PDF documents not printing in Adobe Reader DC, but I cannot find any that are specific to this issue. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Brian

Update...

I found the solution on other websites.

1. Open any document in Adobe Reader DC.

2. Click the Edit menu and choose Preferences.

3. On the Preferences windows, choose Security (Enhanced) under Catagories on the left-hand pane.

4. Uncheck the Enable Protected Mode at startup checkbox.

5. Click the OK button to close the Preferences window.

6. Close Adobe Reader DC. Re-open the document in the web browser (IE, Edge, Chrome, etc.)

Thanks,

Brian
