Updated to Adobe DC Desktop

Hello.  I just updated to Adobe DC on Desktop Windows 7 and now need to open several thousand files in the old version so that they can become OCR capable.  Some of these files also need a view orientation change so that they can be read by OCR in future searches.  My first problem is that many of the old files are either SECURE or READ-ONLY and won't let me change/save anything.  How do I remove these designations?  How do I change the files so that I can make changes and keep the same name of the old file when I save changes?  Thank you for your help.

    Hi Karenc67567794,

Adobe Acrobat DC is capable of OCR.

In order to edit the Read-Only files you may try the steps mention in the similar discussion-

How to open a PDF/A file in other than read-only mode so you can edit it (PDF Standards)

    Also-How to edit a read-only file?

Let us know if that helps.

    Regards
