updating acrobat reader

I am trying to update acrobat reader.  I have renewed my password three times.  When I enter the new password, the box shakes and obviously the password is not accepted.  I have also received an adobe code on my cellphone and do not know what to do with it.

For the installation of the update you must use administrator password of your Mac.
