Hi,

running Windows 10 with 2 monitors and Adbobe Reader Version 2019.021.20049.  When I try to drag an open pdf as work with multiple pdf's to the second monitor Adobe reader closes down all instances.  I have read that has been an issue on the mac but not seen anything referring to Windows.

Thnx

Hi there,

we are sorry for the trouble. As described above, you are using two monitors and while dragging the PDF to second monitor the Adobe reader crashes.

We need some more information for a better understanding:

  • What is the make and model of the laptop or desktop you are using?
  • Do you have any third party plug in installed? Please try to remove any such application and check.
  • Please check for any security software settings that might be causing the issue. For testing purpose please trun off the security software and check again.

Make sure that the video drivers and firmwares are up to date.

We are here for help just need more information.

Regards

Amal

Hi,

It is happening on three machines.  Two of which are Dell Optiplex 3050 MT Desktop, Intel Core i5-7500 3.4GHz, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, DVDRW, Intel HD, Windows...

. Can you advise what plugins could cause the issue so I can check?

Hi there,

Apologies for the delay in response.

Have you installed any plugins for Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, If yes please try removing them.

If it still doesn't work,

For testing purpose, try to disable the protected view. Go to Edit > Preferences > Enhanced Security  > Turn off the protected view and uncheck the Enhanced security > Click OK and restart the application and check.

Note: Please turn on the security after testing, irrespective of the result.

If it still doesn't work,

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal
