Question

Very advanced search

Hi,

I work with Tv production and have to search for a variety of specific scene numbers on various pdf documents.

For example:

I have the scenes:

0023 001

0034 013

0120 038

And have to search for them in 120 different pdf documents.

How can I do it? I tried advanced search tools but didn't find anything.

If I type all the number in pdf, I would not find specific scene numbers.

If it were in Google, I would put quotation marks: “0023 001” “0034 013”, for example.

But I can't find a similar tool in Adobe Reader.

Any help?

Best!

This can be done using a script, or a stand-alone application. The former would require using Acrobat Pro, though.

I've developed various tools that can allow you to do it.

For example, I've created a tool that allows you to search an entire folder of PDF files for specific texts and then highlight the results, or create a summary of all the places where matches were found, etc.

If you're interested feel free to contact me privately (try6767 at gmail.com) and we could discuss it further.
