E. g. I can find MD5-Digest, SHA-Digest, X.509-Daten.

Are any of the strings necessary for proofing the file?

Or are the strings used by some software to generate value?

The only interesting string for sharing to others is the private key, right?

Digests are used to check whether a file has been modified. So they have no interest in themselves, but if they are wrong, files may be rejected.
