White lines around secured pdf

I seem to get faint white lines around clip art in my secured pdfs.  I have done all the steps - unchecked show bounding lines and smooth lines in preferences.  I still get the lines.  What can I do?

    Probably nothing to do with it being secured. Have you tried printing it? Do the lines show?

    No.  The lines only show when the PDF is secured.  I have to secure the file, as it is being sold through a teachers on line store.  Any advice?  It just doesn't make my product looked polished.  I have also tried turning PNG into PDF and the lines disappear, but my links don't work.

    Ok. So these are pdf files you are creating yourself then. What are you using to create them and what steps are you taking and settings are you using to get from original to pdf.

    I'm not sure what you mean here. Where does .png come into play?
