White lines around secured pdf

I seem to get faint white lines around clip art in my secured pdfs.  I have done all the steps - unchecked show bounding lines and smooth lines in preferences.  I still get the lines.  What can I do?

Probably nothing to do with it being secured. Have you tried printing it? Do the lines show?

No.  The lines only show when the PDF is secured.  I have to secure the file, as it is being sold through a teachers on line store.  Any advice?  It just doesn't make my product looked polished.  I have also tried turning PNG into PDF and the lines disappear, but my links don't work.

I am using PowerPoint then converting to a PDF.  I then go through the steps to flatten and secure the PDF.

Ok. So that's a Powerpoint function. Not an Adobe function. But, I assume they look ok at that point?

That's where you're losing me. What steps? What software are you using? This is the Reader forum which does not have either of those abilities. Are you using Acrobat? If so, maybe you should be in the Acrobat forum asking about this.

(And right now, I suspect this has something to do with the "flattening" part rather than the security part)
