Why is Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (2015) MUI 693MB on my App & Features?

Hello all,

I have noticed under apps and features that there is Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

When I run the application a window pops up and starts to install something 

Can someone please advise how this works? I thought the first image would be the Adobe Reader DC application, or is it the application that installs the Adobe Reader DC Software? If it's the latter, does that mean Adobe is installing unnecessary files?
