Will there be a new Reader-Plugin for Firefox 53 or higher?

Hello everyone!

I am using FireFox 52 ESR with the Adobe Acrobat-Plugin, because I like to read my PDFs in the Browser instead of downloading them before. The integrated PDF-Viewer of FireFox is not very good and I do not consider using it. Sadly Mozilla has endes life-of-end of the NPAPI with Version FireFox 53 (wich is the reason I am using FireFox 52 ESR).

Will there be an new Plugin based on other technologies for the Newer Versions of FireFox?

Adobe don't preannounce things much, but there is no sign at all that they will do this. Chrome too has no more Adobe PDF support. Nor Edge. It does not seem this is part of the future.
