Hallo zusammen

Gruss Oli

Hello,

I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.

Ensure Bit Compatibility: Make sure that both Adobe Acrobat Reader and Outlook are installed with the same bit (32-bit or 64-bit). You can check this by going to Help > About Adobe Acrobat Reader in Acrobat Reader and File > Office Account > About Outlook in Outlook. See this Microsoft article for more details: Outlook PDF preview error: This file cannot be previewed because there is no previewer installed for it - Microsoft Support

Disable Microsoft PowerToys PDF Preview: If you have Microsoft PowerToys installed, it might be overriding the PDF preview settings. Open PowerToys, go to File Explorer Add-ons and disable Enable PDF (.pdf) preview. See this article for more details: Outlook PDF preview error: This file cannot be previewed because there is no previewer installed for it - Microsoft Support

Modify Outlook's Attachment Handling Settings:

  • In Outlook, click on File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings.
  • Select Attachment Handling.
  • Ensure Turn off Attachment Preview is unchecked.
  • Click on Attachment and Document Previewers.
  • Ensure PDF Preview Handler is checked.

Update Acrobat Reader to the latest version:

  1. Go to Menu > Help > Check for Updates.
  2. Install any available updates.
  3. Restart the app and your machine.

Additionally, ensure that all mandatory and optional updates for your operating system and Office Suite are installed.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
