We have been unable to use Adobe Reader DC on our Remote Desktop Servers. When will Adobe Reader DC and Adobe Acrobat Standard and Pro become compatible with Windows Server 2016 Remote Desktop Services.

There don't seem to be many in the community sharing their knowledge but the best place to find them: Enterprise Deployment (Acrobat and Reader) . Be aware you have NOT contacted Adobe or tech support by posting here. This community certainly isn't in a position to predict Adobe's plans.

Are you using the Acrobat Enterprise Deployment Guide?

Hi, I have reviewed the enterprise deployment guide however it does not mention Windows Server 2016. This seems strange as Windows Server 2016 has been in main stream for over a year.

The section I am referring to in the Enterprise Guide is under Windows Terminal Services (AKA Remote Desktop Services)

Here is the extract from that section.

Acrobat DC:

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition 64bit, Windows Server 2012 64bit & Windows Server 2012 R2 64bit
  • Client operating systems: Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit), Windows 8 (32 and 64-bit) and Windows 8.1 (32 and 64-bit)
  • RemoteApp and Remote Desktop Web Access
