Save the file locally and then open it using Adobe Reader. Do not open it in the browser window.

What is your installed Reader version?

Are you using a browser that uses its own PDF viewer (Chrome, Firefox) instead of the Adobe PDF plugin?

Ok, back to my earlier questions...

What Reader version do you have installed?  Open Control Panel, then Programs & Features, under 'Adobe Reader' or 'Acrobat Reader' it should tell you the installed version number.

What browser are you using: Internet Explorer?  Firefox?  Chrome?  Opera?  other?

Ok, now let's check if the Adobe PDF Reader plugin is enabled.

On Internet Explorer click Tools, then select Manage Add-ons.

On the Manage Add-ons panel, select Show: All add-ons.

Now, under Adobe Systems, Incorporated, you should see Adobe PDF Reader; does it say Enabled under the Status column?

That is strange!

Try to repair Adobe Reader: open Reader (from the desktop shortcut), then under the Help menu select Repair Installation.
