When I print from Adobe Reader there is an option under advanced that is called "Let Printer Determine Colors" that is always checked. I want to disable this option so it is NOT automatically checked. Please let me know if there is a way to do this.

I am using a MAC and have Adobe 11.0.23

Change the settings, close Adobe Reader, and reboot the machine and try printing any PDF file and check.

If you still experience any issue, please remove Adobe Reader from the  machine using Acrobat cleaner tool Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Reboot the computer and install Adobe the latest version of Adobe Reader from the URL Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

Let us know how it goes with the latest version of Adobe Reader.

    Thanks,

    Hello Erinbv,

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, as per the description above, you are not able to disable the "Let Printers determine Colors" option in Adobe Reader, Is that correct?

Please open the document in Adobe Reader, then navigate to File>Print>Advanced>uncheck the option "Let Printer determine colors">Click OK.

Print a PDF using the current settings and then try printing other PDFs and see if this brings any difference.

Let us know how it goes and share your findings.

    Regards,

    Anand Sri.

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately I tried this and doesn't work. Each time I go back to print another pdf the "Let Printer Determine Colors" option becomes automatically checked again. I've restarted Adobe and closed out all of my files but it keeps happening.

The odd thing is this was never an issue until today.
