Can't print in Chrome because it says PDF plugin not installed.

Every time I try to print something from Chrome, it sits and thinks and finally says that it can't print, or show the preview, because the PDF plugin is not installed and that I should use the print dialog instead.  I went to Adobe and downloaded Reader DC and initiated the installation.  I noticed there was a checkbox that said to install the extension in Chrome!  I was elated because this just might solve my problem.  Nope.  The installation stopped because it says I have a new version of Reader DC installed.  What on earth is going on?  I've never had this problem before.  It just started for some reason.  And Firefox won't even show me a preview anymore, it just goes straight to the print dialog.  Thanks!

Hi Davidhz,

Most of the web browsers uses its own PDF viewer. As chrome uses its own viewer to view pdf online, then it doesn't require Adobe PDF plugin. Chrome and Acrobat are no longer compatible. For more information, see Change in support for Acrobat and Reader plug-ins in modern web browsers.

You can alternatively work with other browser- Configure browser to use the Adobe PDF plug-in to open online PDF files

You may download the pdf locally to the computer and open it with Adobe Reader and run the "Print" command.
