At this point, transcribing/typing the entire documents I have will be faster than converting the PDF to word then going through line by line to edit it. At one point, I found out that it is actually easier to copy from the word doc to google.doc so that a lot of the glitched formatting goes away, then re-paste into word with the formatting that I want.
This is a product that I paid for, and I expect it to save me time, and it doesn't do that at this point. I am sorry, but if I can't get a really good answer on how to get rid of the glitches in this program, I am going to try and get my money back.
Thanks,
Mike

Sorry, I forgot to add that there are some really weird errors such as lines being lost because they are underneath the previous paragraph (how does that even work??!!). There are periods that are turned into commas, commas turned into periods. The periods and commas are never at the end of a word, but wedged in between the word. All of the lower case "i"s are capitalized, two "i"s turn into a u, etc. Also, darker parts of the doc are literally colored in to the word doc using background color.
I don't understand how these errors occur, and they actually make using PDF to word converter unusable.

The problem is not the software that converts from PDF to Word, but the PDF file. Chances are that when you convert files from different sources, you will get a wide variaty as far as conversion quality goes. You will find "good" PDFs and "bad" ones. You are working with one of these bad files. Oftentimes you can get better results when you convert the file to a series of images, and then convert these images back to a PDF file and then OCR that file and then try to export.

I definitely understand that it may be asking too much, but I am wondering if you can explain the solution of "converting the file to a series of images" - how will that help? And what program would I need for that? Or does Adobe already offer this service?
Thanks,

You would do that in Adobe Acrobat - this is not an option when n you are using ExportPDF.

Okay, I'll just continue to type up my reports. I don't want to make it a huge thing, but I want to be honest. This process has been more effort than it's worth. I will have to spend another $15 to get adobe acrobat to edit the file, which I am still not sure how to do, or if it will work. I honestly am not sure why this isn't just bundled into the PDF-to-word program.
Perhaps I am asking too much from this program, but it's just not worth it for me.
Thanks again for your help, it is nice to have somebody respond so quickly!
