How to install adobe reader WITHOUT google chrome

Even when I de select the google chrome extension, google chrome is still trying to install along with acrobat reader. I don't want third party software forced on me.

From Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions, however, there is second checkbox in a completely diff location on the page for the Chrome app. Your question made me look again, TY

To my knowledge, the download of Reader doesn't come with Google Chrome. Which makes sense since Google Chrome doesn't use the Reader plug-in. Where exactly are you getting this download?

Ah. Yes. Missed that. I haven't had to download it in a while. Odd that they even offer an extension that as far as I know doesn't work. Guess I better look around to see if things have changed recently.
