Reader: Default paper size for printing

Every time I print, I have to select Page Setup from the Print dialog and set the paper size to A4, which is the standard in many parts of the world.  My printers are all set up with only A4, the document is A4, but Acrobat Reader defaults the paper size to Letter every time.  I have searched for a way to control this setting, to either set it to A4 or to default to the paper size in the current printer's default paper try, but no luck.

My setup is:

OS: Win7 Enterprise (23-bit) with SP1

SW: Acrobat Reader XI (11.0.09.29)

Hi Israel,

On your computer (Windows 7)

Start Menu > Devices and Printers > Adobe PDF

1. (Right Click) > Printing preferences > Adobe PDF page size (A4)

OK (ENTER)

2. (Right Click) > Printer Properties > Device Settings > (A4)

OK (ENTER)

hi, I have the exact same problem. I work at a copy center we use A4 paper. every time i'm gonna print a pdf I have to change paper size from Letter to A4 in page setup dialog. Otherwise the scale of my printouts does not become good. Now my question I Don't have  Adobe PDF in Devices and Printers. My printers' default paper size is A4. But in acrobat reader it does not take printer default as document default. How can i solve this problem?

I use windows 8 and acrobat reader 15.08.20082.15957

please help me to find a solution
