Remove Read-Only bar from Adobe Reader

New Here ,
May 15, 2019 May 15, 2019

Hi,

I was wondering if there is any way, such as a Registry key that can be altered or a tickbox hidden in the preferences that removes the bar that is available to be pressed within a Read-Only document.

This is the bar that I am referring to:

We would like a way to remove this bar, so that it no longer appears within Read-Only mode. Is this a possibility?

If this is not a possibility, is there a way to disable the Print and Save button from this small bar?

Many thanks,

Adam Lowe

Hey Adam!

Disabling the toolbar available in Read-Mode is not possible using preferences or registry settings in Acrobat or freeware Adobe Reader.

You may use the Adobe wish form to file a feature request Feature Request/Bug Report Form

Anand Sri.
