I hate having page controls pop up in my view, covering text, but they add too much length when I add them to the tool bar. Is it possible to delete some of the page controls I don't use?
Hi Ivar52
There is no option to delete the Page control tools.
However if you are viewing the PDF, it will disappear after few moments and will appear only if you move your cursor to Page control tool location on your page at bottom.
You have to either add it to the tools bar at top or separate bar at bottom.

Thanks for the reply. It is difficult to understand why Acrobat remains so rigid in how its tools can be organized instead of allowing the tools to be set up in ways that most benefit the individual user.
Is the response from meenakshin83966505 the "correct answer"? That seems likely but since I am the one with the question, and the reply says that my problem is unsolvable, I can't know if that is correct or not. Since it is clearly true that Acrobat rigidly dictates where the page controls may be displayed, I will mark this comment as the correct answer.

Found it !
For those looking to disable the "quick actions on text selection" pop up, go to preferences, general.
