I went through this exact problem last December with Adobe.... on a very long chat with your tech people. Very disappointed in results.

However, I am now suddenly seeing this message to purchase ProDC.... why do I have to do that? I have been paying monthly for Pro XI... and it's working fine. I NEED to do work on a client's project this weekend... and suddenly can't get into my XI.

What's happening?? and why??? and what can I do to get this fixed?

Hi  skenney ,

Please provide the OS & application version installed  on your system .

If you are on WIN OS, then refer to this article & follow the steps for turning off such upgrading message (Keyword: Direct Product Up sell)  :- Online features — Acrobat Customization Wizard DC for Windows

Let me know how it goes.

Frustrating, since I CANNOT ACCESS MY ACROBAT XI.... since it

consistently shows the message about upgrading to Pro DC!I am using

Windows 7 on a PC... again, I can't see what version it is because all I

see is the $@#!! message!!

I've used the trial version of DC, but don't like it as well as XI. I

don't need to have everything on a cloud. I simply need to be able to

access my pdf's easily and utilize the XI Tools. Nothing more.

Help!

S.Kenney

(Is this a case where I need to delete my XI and re-install it?

(But...of course, I can't see my serial number, etc.)

Hi ,

Please try running the cleaner tool "Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs" on your machine to remove all traces of Acrobat Program.

Then, restart your machine and install the Acrobat XI Pro version from here:

Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, XI, or X

Let me know how it goes.

Not successful, and very frustrated. Have completely removed both

Acrobat DC Pro and Acrobat Pro XI. However, the Adobe instructions to

reinstall Acrobat Pro XI ask for a serial number.... which I don't have

and, of course, can't access since the program has been wiped from my

computer.

How am I supposed to get my old serial number?

This is holding up client projects!!
