I have a side project that allows users to do question-answering over their collection of pdfs. I'm using adove pdf APIs to extract the content of the pdf. I'm using adobe because it gives good structured output.
Today I opened the billing page on my aws and seen that i have a bill of $3,400. I have 3,000 registered users on my tool and they may have uploaded 20,000 pdfs combined. So even in that case $3,400 bill for 20,000 pdf processing is too much.
I seen the pricing of the service and it is somewhere around $1 per 100 pages. For other services adobe charge per 50 pages but for extract api it charges per 5 pages. Its not good. Adobe should lower their costs or charge as per 50 pages $0.05 just like their other APIs.

Hi, there! thank you for the inside!
I just want to confirm that the amount of $3,400 is for 11,000 pdfs (with a total of around 340,000 pages in that pdfs)? Since you stated that the pricing around $1 per 100 pages. Please correct me if I'm wrong, cause I've been looking around for the Adobe Extract API pricing. Thank you, Mr. Kumar!

We've had a bit of lag here, tell me your email address (email me at jedimaster@adobe.com if you want it private), and I'll flag it internally.

Turns out there is no plan for anything between the 12 x 500 = 6,000 (Free plan) and 50,000 (!) transactions per year. Basically excluding any startup / indie business. Absolutely bonkers as I'm very willing to pay for actual usage. Especially for an API service with no real support besides this forum this makes absolutely no sense at all. Just let me enter my billing details and get on it with it, please. Very disappointing, Adobe.

We're working on adding more purchase options for lower volume needs soon. All the paid purchase channels include technical support provided by Adobe, and optional premium support with higher SLAs.

To what in particular?

Ah sorry for being unclear. I meant the 'pay-as-you-go' optionality/plan.
I am loving the output of the extract PDF API. I'm working on an Edtech startup idea to democratize education for all and I'd need a "relatively big batch of PDF's to be parsed now", and then a smaller amount as we go. Right now I'd like to parse e.g. 30 to 100 big PDF files (ranging from 100 to 1000 pages, the larger ones I chunk them up in 350 pages since the API max is 400 pages).
I've also been trying to get in touch with sales.. I'd love to see if there's an affordable plan for me out there, or maybe a one-off payment to get me going for the next couple months

I wonder if there's any Pricing difference between SMB plan and Enterpise plan? Is Enterprise plan cheeper or not? Appreciate your help!@Raymond Camden
