Adobe Extract API is too expensive

Community Beginner ,

I have a side project that allows users to do question-answering over their collection of pdfs. I'm using adove pdf APIs to extract the content of the pdf. I'm using adobe because it gives good structured output.
Today I opened the billing page on my aws and seen that i have a bill of $3,400. I have 3,000 registered users on my tool and they may have uploaded 20,000 pdfs combined. So even in that case $3,400 bill for 20,000 pdf processing is too much.
I seen the pricing of the service and it is somewhere around $1 per 100 pages. For other services adobe charge per 50 pages but for extract api it charges per 5 pages. Its not good. Adobe should lower their costs or charge as per 50 pages $0.05 just like their other APIs.

Sorry, I've got no say in the pricing area.

Could you redirect me to someone from Sales ?

I would like to know how much the services cost for an enterprise use.

We are not set on using your API, however I see a good opportunity for it and I would need to have an estimate to pitch the idea.

Yes, October 10 2024.....
Reading this thread I am pretty happy I went another direction. Would have been bad to invest in a solution without support. 13 months to response aint good.

Hello, I wanted to ask if there’s any update on having a pay as you go option for the Adobe Extract API. My point is that right now it’s either the free tier or paying $25K annually, with no possibility to gradually scale up.

Hi @nguaman , did you end up finding the information you needed? I see another response from one of our reseller, which can let you purchase any volume of transactions. Let us know whether that works for you!
