Acrobat DC not compatible with MacOS Sierra 10.12.3?

Installed this update, and now Acrobat DC (I have used it from Creative Cloud for 1.5 yrs) will not open. An error window comes up that it is not compatible with this version of the OS. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and the installation fails.

What gives? Any workaround? Thanks.

quit your desktop app by clicking the gear icon>quit

Remove the OPM.db file which may be hidden on your computer. To access the hidden user Library folder, see https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-files.html

Locate the OPM.db file in the

\User\<user name>\Library\Application Support\Adobe\OOBE folder.

restart your cc desktop app

retry installing

Thanks, but no dice. Still get the following error:

Adobe Acrobat cannot be opened because of a problem.

Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Acrobat works with this version of macOS. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and macOS.

Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple.

Again, uninstalled and then reinstalled Acrobat DC from Creative Cloud. It uninstalls, then on reinstall at about 84% says "installation failed," and details show it cannot execute one of the packages for OS interface. I think this is not going to be a simple fix.
