Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server

Getting this when using a web pdf form.  Happens after the 2nd or 3rd time of going back onto the web form on Internet Explorer.  Been having so many issues with Adobe over the last year.  Get your stuff fixed!  Already tried the regedit and repair and checked for updates.

Hi Zirjeo,

Sorry to hear about the consistent problem with the Acrobat. Are you working with Acrobat DC or any previous version?

Since you have already tried the changing the registry settings as well as checked the update as suggested in the help article here: Fatal error - Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server

  • I would like you to try changing the below preferences setting of Acrobat once and see if that makes a difference.

For Acrobat, Navigate to Acrobat>Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected View" and "Enhanced Security">OK>Reboot Acrobat

Note: Changing the above security settings could pose security risks. We suggest you to turn it back On once you are done with testing.

What's the status now?

Thanks,

Akanchha
