Question

Adobe acrobat DC not letting me digitally sign a document

Hi,

Have been struggling badly with this problem for the last few days. Looked up to all other similar threads too but none was able to help.

I need to fill a simple form and digitally sign it. The form contains a couple of signature fields on which I need to click and attach my digital signature.

Ideally clicking on the signature field should pop up options with signatures selection but when I do so nothing happens. Acrobat Reader DC (18.011.20038) doesn't even react to these clicks. The best it does is to select the signature field and surround it with the dotted line.

Irrespective of how many times you click on the signature field nothing happens. Signed the same document last year using Adobe Acrobar Reader older version. Since the older version stopped working, had to upgrade to Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Expected it to be better and work like a charm but got stuck badly instead.

When I go to Signatures under preferences, there I can see my signatures very well present.

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC version: 18.011.20038

OS: Windows 10

Document Name: Form 11 (download link is mentioned below. As of now the form is available at the 9th row in the download table)

Download Link: Ministry Of Corporate Affairs - LLP Forms Download

Have tried almost everything that looked like a help so far. But no luck ! Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi suyasht,

Sorry for the delayed response. Please refer to the following forum thread which discusses the similar issue:

Adobe Reader XI sign and fill grayed out (Sign and Send PDFs)

I have also sent you a private message, please check the inbox for the same.
