Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 - importation of action files

Hi!

Due to the coronavirus quarantine, I have now  to use Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017.
On my professional computer at the office I used an older version.

Problem is I can't import my .sequ files as Acrobat Pro 2017 does not recognize them.
It appears it expects .xml files instead.
Tried to change the extension of the files to .xml but it did not work.

So my question is: how can I convert .sequ files to .xml ones?

Thanks for your help,

Best regards,

Jean-Hugues

What happens when you open the .sequ file in Windows Explorer?

The internal structure of .sequ files changed between Acrobat X and XI. You should be able to import older Actions files into a newer version of Acrobat, but you would not be able to edit them. I would recommend re-creating them in your current version..

I wish I could import them as is (since I don't need to edit them), but it does not work 😞

Use Tools > Action Wizard > Manage Actions > Import
There you can import .sequ files

This is exactly what I did: click on "import" button, then open the folder with the .sequ files, but they don't show.
If I change their extension to .xml, they do show but can't be imported.
I can provide one of the .sequ files if you want to give it a go.
